Napolitano sprints to stage win in Luxembourg

Danilo Napolitano won the first stage of the Tour of Luxembourg. He defeated Steven Caethoven and Tom Veelers in a bunch sprint.
After 25 kilometres 5 riders were able to get in the right breakaway. Nicolas Jalabert was the most famous rider of them all. With a maximum lead of 5 minutes the bunch started chasing.
Team Saxobank worked for Matti Breschel and Astana worked for the leaders’ jersey of Grégory Rast. Andy did a lot of work in the chase for the 5 leaders. Nicolas Jalabert also tried to get away but at 10 kilometres from the finish line the whole pack got together again and a sprint was inevitable.

Danilo Napolitano won in Mondorf. This was his 4th success of this year.
There are no changes in the general. Grégory Rast is still in the leaders’ jersey. Andy finished 71th in the same time as Napolitano. He stays 26th in the general at 13seconds of leader Rast.
