Today the stage brings us from Rodez to Revel.  A stage with 3 clims of the fourth category and 2 climbs of the third.

5k from the start three men got the break away. Flecha, Chavanel and Fredrigo take the lead in this 196 k long stage.

It is a stage were the sprinter have the last chance to win a stage before the head into the Pyrenees. It´s not going to be easy for the sprinters with those climbs but it is possible. And that´s way the sprint teams are leading the peloton an Saxobank can have a bit of easy day, so far a stage in the Tour can be seen a easy.

Lampre and HTC Colombia are leading the peloton but the gap is not getting any smaller. The max. gap the leaders had was about 5 minutes.

The hole stage the three stayed in the front. But just as in every sprint stage the three got over taken 9k before the finish and just before the last climb. The peloton lead by Lapmre and HTC Colombia. The peloton was stretched by the high speed and in the back a lot of riders had to let go, Saxobank riders who gave everything yesterday had to let go and also Armstrong.

At the beginning of the climb Balan attacks  and gets a gap. Barredo, Cunego en Roche try to make the jump, just after that Vino and Sanchez jump away from the peloton and get to the three right in front of them. On the top Vino got to Ballan and jumps over him. The rest falls back in the peloton. Voeckler tries to attack but doesn´t make it.

On the climb the sprinters team lost the organization and it all to the individual sprinter to get over the climb. Andy is still in the front of the peloton and the gap with Vino gets bigger.

On the flat Vino give everything he had in his body and is the first one to cross the finish line with a steamy peloton just behind him. They sprint for the second place which Cavandish wins just before Patacchi.

Vino wins and he deserves evry bit of this win, yesterday overtaken by his team mate just before the finish after he was in the front and in the attack the whole day.

The hug from Contador and the tears in Vino´s eyes say enough.
