It´s official the Schleck Brother will leave Bjarne Riis.

For several of months there are strong rumors that the Schleck brothers would leave Bjarne Riis for another team.
Well the official word is out, they are going to leave. To which team they can´t say, because of the rule that new contract can only be revealed after the first of September.

In a text message to Cyclingnews, Andy wrote, "It's official that we will not be riding with Bjarne next season.We're not going to stay. We're going to leave at the end of the year. All the doubts and news about us racing in the same team as Contador are now finished. We're not going to continue."

It is obvious that the brother will go to the new Luxembourgish team. The team Kim Andersen is starting together with Brian Nygaard. Andersen is going to be sports director and Nygaard will be team manager.

Who the sponsers are for 2011 they won´t tell. The rumors are that it will be a big supermarket concern. And what about the other riders of the team. Names have been said but again nothing is official. We got to wait until the first of September.

"It's been a fantastic five years for me and eight for Fränk and I learnt a lot in that time. I'll still stay friends with Bjarne but this is the end of the road for us as a team. I have talked with both Andy and Fränk about the future but we're not in negotiations right now, and that suggests that things will go in the direction that they seem to be going." Andy tells cylingnews.

We only can wait until September so stay tuned.....

    From the USA, I am a Lance fan (Last name is the same too). The reign has ended though. But for him, I would have rooted for Andy.....last year and this. Actually I did this year as Lance was out pretty quick and really has no chance at this stage against you. His smarts along with his abilities made him what he is. I am sure yours will be too.

    I am also sure it will be a great team......I could only hope a USA team.....tough to fight you two. For Andy.....Go Kick Contadors BUTT!! ......See you in Yellow at the end of next July !! (Should have been this year but for the "odd" issues)

    It's only right... men of your caliber should never be expected to ride with such a questionable character as Cuntador. I fell bad that Cancellara is stuck with another year on his deal... I could never ride for Alberto myself! The 2011 Tour results will show Riis the foolishnes of his choice to back the dishonorable spaniard!!!
